I must be doing something right...

Or I am just a lucky mom. Riley and I were eating dinner last night talking about the food when he said: "Thanks for making this food for me." I almost started crying. What a sweet thing for my little guy to say. He is so polite sometimes. I love it. We haven't totally gotten the saying thank you to strangers, but we are working on it.

Team Jacob???

I don't think it is a secret that I love the Twilight series. I have recently re-read Twilight and Breaking Dawn and am now I Eclipse and I don't get people who like Jacob more than Edward. If you do, I would love to know why. It has been interesting reading the books backwards.

I am on the part in eclipse when Bella keeps running off to see Jacob before Alice or Edward can catch her and every time she does he makes her mad and says stuff to hurt her feelings. I don't get it. I now remember why Bella was so frustrating in this book. She keeps going back and forth between the two guys and hurting both. I guess I have never had two guys in love with me at the same time who are mortal enemies. :) UGH!!! The end of this one is cool though. I like the conversation that Edward and Jacob have in the tent near the end. I can't wait to read that part again.

If you are team Jacob I would love to know why.

Two things....

First: Is Valentine's day just for women? Is anyone getting their husband a gift? If so, what? I have some ideas of what I want to get Chris but he insists that Valentine's Day is not for men. What do you think?

Second: I love the Twilight series. I am rereading Breaking Dawn and LOVE IT!!! I really do. I could read it for hours and hours. Thanks Angie and everyone else who steered me to these great and entertaining books.

Sick Boy

I was cutting cheese and strawberries for my snack for little school today when Riley asked for a piece of cheese. I of course gave him on and about a minute after he finished it he started crying loudly. I was on the phone and thought he was choking or something. I then realized it wasn't that. I picked him up and held him over the sink and he proceeded to throw up! I too smelled he had pooped in his diaper. UGH!! I immediately got on the phone to call everyone to tell them that little school was canceled. So much for my sugar cube igloos... oh well.

Now that he has all that stuff out of him he is acting a little clingy, but he wants to eat and play like normal. I don't get kids when they are sick. They want to eat because they are hungry, but I know he will just throw it up. I hate denying my kid food but I hate it when he throws up even more.

Birthday Boots

If you have talked to me in the last month and a half you will know how badly I want new winter boots. But alas, no store has any that are my size that are the right price, so I have started looking on line and can't commit because I can't try any on. UGH!!!

To help me with my problem my good friend Aimee got me these boots for my birthday. She knows I love pointy toed boots and ones that fit my ankles. Aimee... these are the best boots I have ever had. You are the best. I hope you didn't get too many paper cuts making them.

Copycat

My sister-in-law does super cute things with her blog and this is something she did with my niece. I thought I would see how Riley did when I said different emotions and took pictures of his responses:

Valentine Candy Confession

I love valentine candy. I bought some sweet tart hearts (big mistake) and 2 kinds of gummy hearts (bigger mistake). I have been snacking on them all day and love it!! I love the colors of Valentine's Day and always have. Even though I never had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day until I got married I have always loved dressing super cute and eating the beautiful candy. I love this day and can't wait to help Riley celebrate it.
