Let's Go Fly A Kite

When the letter was "K" for Riley's little school the girl who had it gave all the kids a spiderman kite. On the first windy day we headed out and Riley loved it. He actually did a lot of the flying and got it up pretty high. I love kites.

My Beautiful Family

My Friend Ciera took these pictures for us at Gallup Park. I love them. She did all of them in black and white and sepia as well. These are just a few of my favorites.

Could this kid be a model or what???

Flashback

We rented some of the episodes of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers from the library and Riley loves it. He actually sings the theme song now and wants to keep watching them over and over. What's funny is I actually remember seeing these shows when I was a kid.

NEW MOON WOLF PACK!!!

Clockwise from bottom left:
Alex Meraz as Paul, Tinsel Korey as Emily Young, Chaske Spencer as Sam Uley, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Tyson Houseman as Quil Ateara, Bronson Pelletier as Jared, Kiowa Gordon as Embry Call

Prune Juice

Today was my first experience with prune juice and I DIDN'T like it. The dark color was so unappetizing and it seemed so thick. YUCK. I am going to drink it but I won't like it.

Another good one!

So we just finished this movie and I had to make a post to tell you how good it was. My eyes are burning from crying and I laughed a ton too (which says a lot for me because I NEVER laugh at movies). Steve Carell was so good. Chris couldn't get over him in something that wasn't The Office, but we were both impressed with his acting. Tell me what you think.

Penelope

My good friend Angie steered me to this cute movie. I have to admit, I was skeptical. I didn't know if I would like it. But I really did. I thought it was cute and had a good message. I would actually buy this movie. If any of you see it let me know what you think.

Thankful

Sometimes life can give you experiences that really make you think. There is a family in my ward who just lost their one month old son. He was born premature and was in the NICU his whole little life. The memorial for the little guy was today and I don't ever think I will forget the image of his dad carrying in the little tiny casket all by himself. His mom wrote a letter to her son and read it to everyone. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. She spoke of their experiences with him while he was in the hospital and his little characteristics he had shone. She spoke about how they would strive even harder in this life so that they can be reunited with him in the life to come. It was the most touching, beautiful letter I have ever heard. I have been telling Riley how much I love him all day and hope that I will be able to remember how I feel today. My heart is breaking for those poor people but envious of the faith they now have of the Plan of Salvation. I am so thankful for the gospel today and everyday. It gives hope that that family will be able to see their son again and his little body will be whole.

Thanks for your friendships and love.

Little Shopping Carts

I don't know if you guys have seen these. Some stores (our Hillers has them) have these little shopping carts that kids can push around while their parents shop. We never see them when we walk in the store but today Riley saw a kid pushing one and so we went to the front to get one. Besides him running into my legs, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He picked out some applesauce to put in his cart. It was so cute. We are going to have to do that again and I am going to bring my camera. Riley is hilarious.
